In Progress
This painting is titled Ear;y Sky Progression though as the painting itself evolves, this very well could change. Currently I am taking a break from this painting to meditate on its direction. I have returned to a different painting also pictured here.

Botanical drawings continued Troutlily: one of my favorite spring flowers. This plant is abundant behind my house heading down to the Farmington river. Each spring the vast flood plain is carpeted with this plant with its unique orchid-like leaves and then it vanishes within weeks.

Unfolding Amaryllis It is often difficult to find time while I am busy in school. I can get fidgity but do not care to start a project that I know I cannot finish for a long while (though this rarely seems to stop me). I found that I was able to sketch my amaryllis as it slowly opened up on my counter. I gave myself no more that 10-15 minutes at a time every day or so to do a quick drawing of the plant. I also tried to always use a different kind of pencil, ink, watercolor etc.
