Back drawer

This is a section for all of those weird pieces that are duds, things never finished or just plain disasters. Some of them may have been mere experimentations or practice pieces that surely end up in a back drawer. My dear friend Tofu Head is the Vanna White on the left presenting the painting.

I have an arrow in my chest...

The final project for one of the only art classes I have ever taken. My instructor initially hated it, told me he was disappointed in me (maybe insulted it more like it) but then ended up liking it b/c he saw it as a break from my realism. The title was F*ck Hartwick but I think I have moved away from that. Now it sits in the far reaches of my closet.

An early oil painting. I always rather liked this one.

Jesus Elvis and the Last Supper; "Who hired these caterer's anyway?"
There is a genetic predisposition in my family for a love for Elvis. As a result, perhaps this collage is a compulsion more than anything. Never finished, I don't quite know what to do with it.

This piece is a result of a summer far too saturated with cardiac glycosides, beta oxidation and ABG analysis. It was a "I hate nursing school because it is killing my creative side" moment that resulted in a bizarre tribute to Einstein as the center of the universe. Alright, I lied. It was really just an excuse to throw paint and glue shit to a board.

Ahh yes, my Reclining Venus. Odd.
